Rockway Vineyards Wins Eight Silver Medals At Finger Lakes International Wine Competition

Rockway Vineyards and winemaker David Stasiuk participated in the 17th annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition this spring. The competition features over 3,000 wines from 621 wineries and is blind judged by 52 Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, wine educators, wine journalists, winemakers and certified wine judges. This year, 16 countries were represented, including wines from as far away as Costa Rica, Macedonia and Russia.

FLIWC is one of the largest wine competitions in the world that benefits a charitable organization. The competition, and surrounding events, support Camp Good Days. Camp Good Days is a place where children with cancer are not faced with boundaries, but rather open hearts, compassion and, above all else, fun. Since its inception 37 years ago, Camp Good Days has benefited more than 47,000 kids.

Niagara wineries were well-represented at FLIWC by Rockway Vineyards, Andrew Peller Limited, Calamus Estate Winery and more. We are proud to say that Rockway wines came home with 7 Silver Medals for wines from our 2015 harvest and 1 Silver Medal for our 2014 harvest.
