Simone Ardiel


Ardiel grew up in Ontario and received her winemaking and viticulture education at Niagara College. After honing her skills working for wineries in New Zealand, Australia, France, and the United States, she settled in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley for 3.5 years, before finding her way back to Ontario. In the cellar at Rockway Vineyards, Simone strives for a balance between vibrancy and delicacy in her wines


Bonnie Bates

Wine Club Manager

With a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, along with her understanding and appreciation of wines, Bates is committed to ensuring guests have a welcoming and educational experience here at Rockway Vineyards. Bates' vision for the wine club has always been to build a community of friends that come together to enjoy fellowship, alongside wonderful wine, and cuisine.


Matt McDowell

Executive Chef

McDowell has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years, having apprenticed under several head chefs. He brings experience from his employment at the Marriott Hotels and St. Catharines Golf and Country Club. His cooking style is contemporary Canadian with French, Italian, and Asian influences. McDowell's favourite dish is a slow cooked Sunday ragu with fresh pasta, paired with the Rockway Alter Ego Syrah.


Kim Hamerton

Director of Hospitality & Events

Ensuring your event is as memorable and spectacular as Rockway Vineyards itself, is Hamerton's focus. Having worked in the food and beverage industry for more than 25 years, Hamerton has gained expertise from many of the top-rated hotels and fine dining franchises in Niagara.


Diane Moore

Manager of Marketing & Promotions

Moore brings more than 20 years of experience to her role, with a background in communications, marketing, event planning, and sales. She is an award-winning journalist and former radio and television host, with a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours). She brings her love of wine and golf to Rockway Vineyards and has a passion for telling great stories.
