Tasting Notes: This Cab Franc is a ruby-garnet colour. It has bright aromas of cranberry, fresh thyme, and ground coffee. It is a medium-bodied wine. It has slightly drying tannins that make this wine great with food.
This wine was aged in older French oak barrels (Neutral Oak) that adds to the mouthfeel and helps to soften tannins, instead of adding flavour. Although the tannins are still slightly drying, they have softened a fair bit and will continue to round as this wine ages.
A great match for this wine would be an aged cheddar cheese. The angular side of the wine goes well with the sharp taste of the cheese.
