‘Statera’ is Latin for ‘balance in all things.’ ‘Terra’ is latin for ‘earth.’ Together they name this wine, grown in Niagara soils and crafted to show a seamless balance between aroma, flavour and mouthfeel. – Winemaker
Colour is ruby to garnet. Up front aromas of cherry, blueberry and vanilla followed with notes of chocolate, black pepper and cedar. On the palate the wine is medium bodied with rich ripe tannins that provide tension and grip. Bright red fruit shows through with balanced oak and medium acidity that frames the wine nicely. Medium-long finish. A lot of development in the glass; revisit often. Tasted July, 2018
