“After a short hiatus, the 9 Pink Spritz is back by popular demand. As a fun addition to the bottle, we have canned some in sleek 250ml slim cans. At only 9.5% alcohol, this wine is fresh and lively, with crisp citrus and red berry fruit notes. Perfect for the golf course, patio or wherever a can may go!” -Winemaker's note
Tasting Note: Colour is pale pink. Aromas of citrus and lime are followed by candied red fruit and hints of watermelon. The palate is balanced with crisp acidity and a touch of sweetness. The slight spritz makes the palate lively and fits well with the wines lower alcohol of 9.5%. Fun and versatile. Tasted April, 2019
Wine Making Note: Vidal fruit was harvested from our home site on October 5. It was fermented cold, using several yeast strains to promote a brighter, more complex profile. The fermentation was arrested when balance was perceived between acidity and residual sugar. Tank quickly chilled and sealed to retain maximum CO2. Bench trials concluded with a balanced blend consisting of: 94% Vidal, 3 % Baco, 2% Merlot, 1% Cabernet and a dash of Gamay.
Food Pairing: Try with grilled kebabs, pizza margherita or fresh watermelon.
Technical Note: Brix at harvest: 19 pH: 3.3 Total Acidity: 6.5 g/L Alcohol: 9.5% Residual Sugar: 17.8 g/L
