2017 Small Lot Syrah
Regular price $30.00Rated 93 Points By Wine Current
Tasting Notes:
This wine is a purply-blue colour. It is showing aromas of red currant, violets and crushed up gravel. It is grippy and firm in the mouth. It has a silky side that will take a couple of years to come out and finishes with a long, red berry aftertaste.
Winemaking Notes:
This Syrah was de-stemmed and crushed and put into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. It was pumped-over twice daily for 19 days. It was then pressed and moved into French oak barrels where it rested for about 18 months.
Food Pairing:
This Syrah would be a great partner for a hearty beef stew flavoured with thyme and rosemary. Or try a Veggie friendly version by using mushrooms instead of beef in your stew.
